Dr. Patrick Bitter, Sr., M.D. Joins Vascular
Health Specialists
After several months
of in-depth collaboration, Dr. Patrick Bitter, Sr., dermatologist
and rosacea treatment expert, has joined Vascular Health Specialists LLC.
New York, New York
- June 24, 2009 –
Vascular Health Specialists (VHS), a firm dedicated to leveraging the
latest dermatologic research to develop cutting-edge products for
rosacea and other skin conditions, is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Patrick
Bitter, Sr. to the firm.
Dr. Bitter, Sr.
brings a wealth of experience in treating inflammatory skin disorders and a
passion for anti-aging medicine to Vascular Health Specialists. Dr.
Bitter, Sr, a senior dermatologist who has been actively practicing in San
Francisco for over 30 years, has always been at the forefront of dermatologic
advances, particularly in the field of rosacea treatment. In 1998, Dr.
Bitter, Sr., introduced the PhotoFacialSM procedure. This treatment,
also known today as Intense Pulsed Light or IPL PhotoRejuvenation, is now
performed around the globe and is considered one of the most effective
treatments for rosacea. In fact, Dr. Bitter, Sr. has personally treated
thousands of rosacea sufferers with the PhotoFacialSM procedure.
Dr.
Bitter, Sr. brings this same pioneering spirit to his role at Vascular Health
Specialists LLC. Over the last several months, he has been instrumental
in the pre-launch evaluation of Rosadyn, VHS’s flagship product, an oral nutraceutical that targets facial
flushing, redness, and inflammation caused by rosacea. Dr. Bitter, Sr.
explains, "This
is one of the most exciting new treatment products for rosacea sufferers. This should help many rosacea sufferers
as it targets the main pathophysiology behind rosacea.” According to Dr.
Geoffrey Nase, PhD, VHS’s founder and developer of Rosadyn, “Dr. Bitter brings invaluable clinical
treatment expertise of rosacea and a true passion for the development of novel
skin treatments to VHS. We have already seen the benefit of his
involvement in the final stages of Rosadyn development and we are incredibly excited about
cosmeceutical formulations he is already researching.”
Going forward, the
two will spearhead Vascular Health Specialists’ future product pipeline.
Dr. Bitter, Sr. explains, “We have already started development of some novel
formulations for a topical preparation for rosacea. While our main focus
is on treating the underserved rosacea population, many of the ingredients we
have found effective for rosacea treatment can be leveraged more broadly for
skin rejuvenation and anti-aging medicine for hyper-sensitive skin. These areas
will be a focus for future research and product development.”
Rosadyn is scheduled for release on July
1st, 2009.
